I can remember the first time that I read the biography of this beautiful black woman. It opened my eyes to just how sick and sadistic this country is.
Born Joanne Chesimard, she was a member of the Black Liberation Army (BLA) who were known for fighting against the government of this country, and the oppressive systems of this country as well as the biased laws and systems against Black people.
Assata Shakur no matter what the media will say about her, we her people will always love, admirer, cherish and reflect on the many jewels that she has left behi9nd for us to follow.
The FBI tried all their tricks in the book to convict Assata for the killing of a New Jersey state trooper named Werner Foerster. In the Trail it was mentioned that in no way could she have pulled the trigger because of the nerve damage done to her hand when she was shot, however an all-white jury convicted Assata for the 1973 killing of the state trooper. Ther FBI even went as far as photo shopping a picture to make it look like she was involved in the bank robbery.

These are some of words "They call us murderers, but we do not control or enforce a system of racism and oppression that systematically murders Black and Third World people. Black life expectancy is much lower than white, and they do their best to kill us 'before we are born. We are burned alive in firetrap tenements. Our brothers and sisters OD daily from heroin and methadone. Our babies die from lead poisoning. Millions of Black people have died as a result of indecent medical care. This is murder,.
Assata was even held prisoner in an all-male penitentiary she mentioned this in her own Biography, a fact a lot of this whitewashed media will intentionally leave out.

Assata Shakur was a force to be reckon with not only was she a powerful Black Woman, but she was an Empress, Queen Assata Shakur was the Dragon Slayer she slayed the giant, the powers that be and died a true warrior and died Free!!!!
Assata will continue to be loved by people all over the world just because of her sheer Determination to never stand down and be content with being a second-class human. She even escaped prison to spite the Dragon even more and lived out her days in a beautiful place on her terms instead of dying in prison just as so many of our Revolutionaries have done before.

Brilliant
Great tribute to comrade Sister Assata Shakur by comrade Gabriel Prosser
