#WHATUBOUT, #NEVERFORGET, #THATSWATHEYWANTUS2DO

I like to think of myself as a Revolutionary, one that chooses to live on his feet instead of being content with living on his knees. I follow the blueprints of our true Gangsta ancestors that had the government of this country shaking in their boots.

I'm bout fighting back against this system that has been fighting us since we have been in this country. I'm bout shouting truth to power and willing to die on my feet for my beliefs as a Man, just like those Men and Women that have died before me so that I can be here today. I'm about speaking truth in the face of adversity no matter who it may hurt or how many friends I may lose, because my overall goal is bigger than myself.

I will and can never forget the past horrors and atrocities that have been committed against my ancestors. No matter how many would prefer that we do, while in the same breath ask of us to remember the Holocaust and their tragedy, and the Indians Trail of Tears. These tragedies as they were are not asked to be forgotten about, the government or this society as a whole are not telling these people that this has happened a long time ago, or that they should let bygones be bygones. Yet we the Black citizens in this country are expected to just get over it and to just pull ourselves up by our bootstraps even though some of us may not even have boots.

Black people standing for nothing and falling for anything, us forgetting about our past while remembering and showing compassion for others. Thats what they want us to do, as long as we are distracted and not paying attention to what is happening to our communities all over this country, they will continue to do it and it will get worse for us as a people in this country.

Powerful words! This country, where many black peoples can’t afford to leave, are stuck here in this injustice system that caters to other races and not to the main race it continues to destroy!
